Returnees who DID NOT attend the 2017 DVG Stand-Down and wish to remain active must attend one of these mandatory 3-hour

5/18 - 5/19 Contra Costa CART New Member Training (Spring) - Course Flyer HERE
This 20-hour training will cover all aspects of care and sheltering of animals during a disaster with special emphasis on cats and dogs. This course is MANDATORY in order to become a member of Contra Costa CART, allowing you to deploy within our county and potentially outside the county as well.
In order to receive a Contra Costa CART ID and certificate of completion, you must complete the following FEMA online courses:
IS-100.c, IS-700.b, IS-200.b or visit http://training.fema.gov/is
* It is highly recommended that you complete the courses in the order listed and that you complete them before you take the weekend training.

This 20-hour training will cover all aspects of care and sheltering of animals during a disaster with special emphasis on cats and dogs. This course is MANDATORY in order to become a member of Contra Costa CART, allowing you to deploy within our county and potentially outside the county as well.
In order to receive a Contra Costa CART ID and certificate of completion, you must complete the following FEMA online courses (click on each course number to go directly to the course):

Think you've already taken the courses but have NO idea where the certificates are? No problem! Click HERE to
download and print the EMI Indepentent Study Program Transcript Request Form. Mail it in and forward your emailed
transcript once you receive it. Expect at least a 14-day turnaround.

Event begins 6:00am Friday at Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch
Contra Costa CART members will be setting up and staffing a small animal shelter; 4-hour shifts will need to be filled throughout the 78-hour operational period.
Only pre-registered, active Contra Costa CART members can participate in the animal sheltering
